3 PERFECT DAYS IN CAPE TOWN

Start the morning with a walk along the Sea Point Promenade — a long, breezy beachfront path perfect for easing into Cape Town. Make your way toward the Oranjezicht City Farm Market, where you can grab breakfast or put together a picnic spread to enjoy later. Wander through the adjacent V&A Waterfront and stop into the Watershed for locally made crafts, or pop into the Zeitz MOCAA if you have time. In the afternoon, go to Clifton 3rd Beach for a few hours in the sun. End the day with dinner at Kloof Street House, Nikkei, or Kiki's.
Dedicate a full day to a private tour of the Cape Peninsula — one of the most spectacular drives in the world. Head south through the fishing villages of Kalk Bay and Simonstown, stopping for breakfast at Olympia Café or Folk Café. Visit Boulders Beach to see the African penguin colony, then continue to Cape Point National Park, where ostriches, baboons, and antelope roam freely. Hike or tram up to the lighthouse for views of the point where the Indian and Atlantic Oceans meet. Continue around the peninsula, stopping for a late lunch at the Foodbarn in Noordhoek, and drive back via the breathtaking Chapman's Peak — one of the world's great coastal roads. Set your alarm for an early Lion's Head hike — the views over the city and Table Mountain are well worth the early start. Allow 2–3 hours and aim to be off the mountain before midday. Drive out to the Constantia Valley for a late morning wine tasting at Constantia Glen, with the option to stay for lunch or continue to Beau Constantia's Chef's Warehouse for a more elevated tasting menu (advance booking essential). Round out the afternoon with a walk through Kirstenbosch Botanical Gardens — one of the most beautiful in the world, and a peaceful way to end a day in Cape Town.

WHAT TO DO

One of Cape Town's most beloved hikes, with breathtaking panoramic views of the city and Table Mountain. Plan for 2–3 hours and go early to beat the heat and crowds. There are multiple routes to take – for the adventurous and experienced hikers, the hike to the top of Lion's Head is steep but rewarding. For those looking for a more gradual hike, we would recommend hiking the lower perimeter trail.
Cape Town's most beautiful, easily accessible beach. Sun loungers and umbrellas are available to rent; grab a granadilla lollie from one of the vendors for the full experience.
A wilder, more secluded beach further along the Atlantic Seaboard — well worth the drive. This is where the Broadleys first lived when they moved to Cape Town!
Home to a famous colony of African penguins; a remarkable and unique experience.
A wonderful food and craft market open Saturdays, Sundays, and Wednesday evenings. Excellent food stalls and local produce.
A bustling waterfront precinct with shops, restaurants, and live entertainment. The Watershed showcases crafts from some of South Africa's finest artisans. Also the departure point for the Robben Island ferry.
